Definition Of Eligibility
Active Interior Firefighter
Means an Active Volunteer Firefighter having five or more years of Faithful and Actual Service as an Interior Firefighter, who successfully passed a Physical Examination by a board certified physician that failed to reveal any evidence of Cancers prior to commencement of their interior firefighting service and provides verification that he or she has passed at least five yearly certified mask fitting tests as set forth in OSHA or other documentation capable of evidencing eligibility as outlined by the Office of Fire Prevention and Control.
Inactive Interior Firefighter
Means a Volunteer Firefighter having five or more years of Faithful and Actual Service as an Interior Firefighter, who met all the criteria to be considered an Active Interior Firefighter and ceased active service after January 1st, 2019.
Active Exterior Firefighter
Means an Active Volunteer Firefighter having five or more years of Faithful and Actual Service as a Firefighter, who successfully passed a Physical Examination by a board certified physician that failed to reveal any evidence of Cancers prior to commencement of their firefighting service.
Inactive Exterior Firefighter
Means a Volunteer Firefighter having five or more years of Faithful and Actual Service as a Firefighter, who met all the criteria to be considered an Active Exterior Firefighter and ceased active service after January 1st, 2019.
